Oh the fun that comes with having house guests for the holidays.
And then the shaggy dogs and I ventured out for a long days hike. Narrated as always by our beloved Dr. Seuss
Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!”
“It’s opener, out there, in the wide, open air.”“You’ll get mixed up, of course, as you already know. You’ll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go. So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact and remember that Life’s a Great Balancing Act. Just never forget to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left.”
“And when you’re alone there’s a very good chance
you’ll meet things that scare you right out of your pants
There are some, down the road between hither and yon,
that can scare you so much you won’t want to go on.”
“Oh the places you’ll go! There is fun to be done! There are points to be scored. There are games to be won. And the magical things you can do with that ball will make you the winning-est winner of all.”
My dogs enrich my life in so many ways. My favorite thing has always been to go for walks with them, anywhere, doesn’t matter, to just go exploring and walk with them. They always remind me to have more fun, because they’re so good at it.
My 2 youngest dogs have lots of games. Like this one. The Walk Up
And then we all smile at the happiness that life is.
I can’t say this enough, to myself, to you, to all of us. Go for walks with your dog, everyday. Just walk. No agenda. No hurrying. Just walk. Just be with your dog.
The Rule of Dog Walking is: Tell your dogs that you love them, that they’re great, that you have their back and that you will help them be successful, no matter what
